Brian “Jake” Dana Griffin

Brian “Jake” Dana Griffin, 59, of Alma, WV, took the next step on his journey on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, while at his home and surrounded by his loving family. Jake was born November 5, 1965, in Parkersburg, WV, son of the late Jimmy and June (Beatty) Griffin.

He was a graduate of Tyler County High School Class of 1990. He was an avid WVU and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Loved going to the Tyler County Speedway He never missed a race until he was no longer able to go. Jake enjoyed attending all sporting events at Tyler Consolidated High School.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, David Griffin and Roger Griffin; nephew, Michael Griffin and his special girl, Mary Ann Shepherd.

Surviving is his brother, Michael (Ginger) Griffin of Alma; two sisters-in-law, Kathy Griffin of Alma, WV and Connie Griffin of Alabama; special uncle, Bobby Griffin and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 4-7 p.m., Thursday, November 14, 2024, at the Furbee Williams Funeral Home, 7908 Middle Island Rd, Alma, WV where services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, November 15, 2024 with Pastor Benny Thomas officiating and burial to follow in Wilbur Cemetery.
