Lynette Lundquist Neilson

Lynette Lundquist Neilson

Lynette Neilson peacefully passed in Media, Pennsylvania on April 1. She spent her last days surrounded by her large family. Her life’s passion was being a wife and partner to Rev. Jack D. Neilson and lovingly raising six children. Her life’s work included volunteering as a leader at the Trinity Church (Parkersburg, WV), with the National Society of Arts and Letters and with the Girl and Boy Scouts of America.

Mrs. Neilson was born in Buffalo, NY in 1925 and raised in Kennett Square, PA. She attended Penn State University and graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a degree in Journalism. She excelled in most everything artistic–drawing, music, homemade crafts and baking. Mrs. Lynette and Rev. Neilson were residents of Parkersburg, WV for 35 years.

While Mrs. Neilson joins her husband Rev. Neilson, she leaves her sister Marian Bartlett and her children: Dr. Eric Neilson (Linda Neilson), Mary Ann Neilson (Louis Pietig), John Neilson (Kathleen Neilson), Carl Neilson (Anne Neilson), Kristin Lancino (Thierry Lancino), Ingrid Smallwood (Randy Smallwood), 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren–all of whom she cherished.

In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church on Juliana Street, Parkersburg, WV.
