Wood Magistrate
PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on Oct. 1:
* Kevin Michael Figueroa, 90 Magnolia Lane, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to violating an emergency protective order, fined $436.48 and sentenced to one year in jail which was suspended and he was placed on two years of unsupervised probation with a credit of six days for time served. He was ordered to receive treatment. Another charge of violating a protective order was dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Britnie Ellen Sharp, 145 Chateau Hills, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license and having no insurance and fined $652.96. Another charge of driving on a suspended license was dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Joshua Kenneth Murphy, 501 Race St. Apt. A6, Ravenswood, had charges of driving on a suspended license and improper registration dismissed.
* Jimmy Duane Dailey, 403 11th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to destruction of property and disorderly conduct, fined $362.96 and sentenced to 30 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on one year of unsupervised probation with a credit of eight days for time served. A charge of public intoxication was dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Jayland P. Talbott, 1227 Pike St., Parkersburg, had charges of speeding (71 mph in a 55 mph zone) and going left of center dismissed.
* Tony Mason Pierce, 1700 17th St. Apt. 3, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription, fined $186.48 and sentenced to 90 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on six months unsupervised probation.
* Veronica A Plaugher, 2622 Robinson Hill Road, Marietta, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and fined $201.48. She was ordered to pay a $266.18 civil penalty to Walmart in Vienna. A charge of obstruction with threats of harm was dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Jordan Alan Benson, 245 Walters Run Road, Ripley, pleaded guilty to having no insurance and fined $376.48. A charge of expired registration was dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Logan Clayton Venham, 1060 Sugar Run Road, Marietta, had charges of third-offense driving on a suspended license and having no insurance dismissed as the defendant is in custody on a federal felony charge.
* Michael David Sams, Lot 60 Meadowbrook Acres, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to public intoxication and assault of a police officer, fined $412.96 and sentenced to 30 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on one year of unsupervised probation with a credit of one day for time served. A charge of disorderly conduct was dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Adam Charles Hogue, 195 McGill Road, Vincent, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license and fined $286.48.
* Renae Dawn Parsons, 467 Gates Ridge Road, Rockport, had a charge of improper disposal of solid waste dismissed.
* Christopher Wayne Hutson, 1420 Spring St., Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived on a charge of being a prohibited person in possession of firearms (two counts). The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.
* Daniel Robert Woods-Blackwell, Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived on a charge of burglary. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.
* Jerome Lee Blackwell, 201 South Oak St., Washington, W.Va., had a preliminary hearing waived for a charge of manufacture or possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver a Schedule I or II narcotic or meth. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.
* Nakla Raye Martin, 49 Dutch Hills Terrace Apt. I17, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to speeding (89 mph in a 65 mph zone) and fined $181.48.
* Rocky Lane Lancaster, 413 8th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of prohibitions on open dumps and fined $276.48.
* Betty Joan Genger, 4200 Powell St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of prohibitions on open dumps and fined $276.48.
* Christopher Gilles Clare, 425 Henderson Ave., Williamstown, pleaded no contest to speeding and fined $181.48.
* Ethel Margaret Griffith, 7922 Wadesville Road, Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty to having no insurance and driving on a suspended license and fined $652.96
* Jimmy Steven Taylor, 1158 Whiteman Hiti, New Martinsville, W.Va., pleaded guilty to speeding (95 mph in a 70 mph zone) and fined $181.48.
* Carlee Dawn Parsons, 512 Pike St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and released on $1,500 bond.
* Leah Denise Hartness, 1817 Seventh St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver (meth) and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver (fentanyl) and held on $75,000 bond.
* Mellissa Diane Stevens, 1119 13th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of driving on a suspended license for DUI and expired MVI and released on $1,000 bond.
* Rafael Russell Delgado, 646 Liberty St. Apt. #1, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of shoplifting, less than $500, and released on $500 bond.
* Cliff Mayo, 111 Wooster St., Marietta, was arraigned on four counts of worthless check and released on $1,000 bond.

PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on Oct. 2:
* Sarah Beth Elmore, Parkersburg, was found guilty of possession of heroin, fined $170.25 and sentenced to 90 days in jail which was suspended and she was placed on six months of unsupervised probation after she was unsuccessful in a 12-month LEADS program. She also pleaded guilty to trespassing and fined $350.50. A charge of fleeing from officers was dismissed.
* Christopher Charles Lee Ortega, 1000 Kemper St. Apt. 7, Parkersburg, had probable cause found on two counts of manufacture or possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver a Schedule I or II narcotic or meth. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.
* Roy Lee Goodnight Jr., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to trespassing, fined $186.48 and sentenced to 60 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on one year of unsupervised probation. He had a charge of obstruction with threats of harm dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Kody James Fiest, 898 Cedar Grove Road, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to third-offense driving on a suspended license, fined $326.48 and sentenced to 30 days of home confinement. A charge of possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription was dismissed after a successful deferred sentence.
* James Rollic Eagle, 605 Stephenson Ave., Parkersburg, had charges of obstruction with threats of harm and disorderly conduct dismissed as part of a successful deferred sentence.
* Ryan Matthew Raider, 1304 Bird St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to cruelty to animals, fined $186.48 and sentenced to 60 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on six months of unsupervised probation after an unsuccessful deferred sentence. He had three additional charges of cruelty to animals dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Cliff Mayo, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to worthless check and fined $186.48. He was ordered to pay $1,763.15 in restitution. He had three counts of worthless checks dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Warren Jesse Taylor, 2108 19th Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription, fined $176.48 and sentenced to 90 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on nine months of unsupervised probation. A charge of possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription was dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Aimee Brooke Wamsley, 49 Suzanne St., Little Hocking, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription, fined $176.48 and sentenced to 90 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on nine months of unsupervised probation. A charge of fishing without a license was dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* David Paul Hamilton, 2719 19th Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription, fined $176.48 and sentenced to 90 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on nine months of unsupervised probation. A charge of possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription was dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Billie Jean Curtis, 3625 Packard St. Apt. 45, Parkersburg, had charges of having no insurance and improper registration dismissed as the defendant had a valid license and had sold the vehicle.
* Jasiah Latrel Connor, 3405 25th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to DUI, equal or greater than .15 BAC, fined $887.96 and sentenced to 60 days of home confinement as well as six months in jail which was suspended and he was placed on one year of unsupervised probation.
* Lisa Dion Hudson, 601 West 8th St., Williamstown, pleaded guilty to DUI (controlled substance/drugs), fined $361.48 and sentenced to eight hours in jail.
* Megan Nicole Tretz, St. Marys, had a charge of domestic battery dismissed without prejudice.
* Tyler Jeffrey Smith, c/o157 Dade Road, Washington, W.Va., pleaded guilty to destruction of property, fined $186.48 and sentenced to 30 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on three months of unsupervised probation.
* Gregory Lee Shuerger, 100 Evan St., New Matamoras, had a charge of driving in an impaired state dismissed as part of a successful deferral sentence program.
* Adam Craig Harvey, 1408 1/2 Spring St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to second-offense driving on a suspended license and fined $276.48
* Byron Lee Dearth, 113 Andrea Road, Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty to speeding and fined $181.48.
* Killian Corbin Foster-Rector, 217 Bent Tree Road, Rockport, pleaded no contest to passing a school bus and fined $676.48
* Makenzie Renay Allman, 9 Campbell Drive, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to speeding (90 mph in a 65 mph zone) and fined $206.48.
* Susan Marie Kirk, 49165 Blairmont Road, Adena, Ohio, pleaded no contest to speed restrictions in a construction zone, less than 15 mph in excess and fined $276.48.
* Rhea Layel Lee, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of first-offense shoplifting and obstruction and released on $3,000 bond.
* Jon James Smith, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of shoplifting and trespassing and released on $500 bond.
* Ashton Jeffrey Dugan, no address given, was arraigned on a charge of being a fugitive from justice out of Washington County, Ohio, for charges of tampering with evidence and attempted aggravated assault. He is being held on no bond.
* Brendon Matthew Pierce, no address given, was arraigned on a charge of being a fugitive from justice out of Washington County, Ohio, for charges of tampering with evidence and attempted aggravated assault. He is being held on no bond.
* Myria Anthony Yeager, 2609 Progress Ridge Road, Walker, was arraigned on a charge of speeding in a construction zone (76 mph in a 55 mph zone) and released on $500 bond.
* Jason James Littleton, 1606 Erie St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of reckless driving and improper registration and released on $500 bond.
* Marshall Ray Cantwell, 3368 Progress Ridge Road, Walker, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance (meth) and released on $1,000 bond.
* Faith Renee Maston, 1000 Kemper St. Apt. #3, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of violation of a domestic violence protection order and released on $1,000 bond.
* Christopher Dean Hunt, 934 N. St. Claire, Painesville, Ohio, was arraigned on charges of driving impaired with a BAC of greater than.15 and speeding (108 mph in a 70 mph zone) and released on $2,500 bond.
