Lookin- Jobs weren't created to be "Minimum Wage Jobs", they were created to make, sell or support a product consumers pay money for. To say these jobs weren't created to produce a living wage creates a little bit of a problem when the "good" jobs are going away and the ones left are squeezing down wages.

Minimum wage, to me, means that is the minimum a company should pay for labor. What's wrong with that?

Good luck, minimum wage earners, and congratulations on your raise. It's a darn shame the government must force employers to pay a wage someone can survive on, but that's the way it is. They would have you working for free (again) if they could!

Minimum Wage jobs weren't meant to live on. They were meant as an entry level into the "working world". Raising the minimum wage is a stupid move, it will cost more jobs than it creates (it always has) and it will only add to our economic woes.

I'm certain people will be affected. These folks will be able to have a little more money in their pocket; maybe they can afford a little bit of health care. After all, is it a big deal if the hamburger being flipped costs an extra nickel so the guy doing the flipping can have a couple of dollars more at the end of the week?

What a stupid question. Everyone was affected. The increase in labor costs will be passed directly on to the consumer.

Everyone will be affected with higher costs of goods/services purchased.
