There are many people I respect on here, so it seems very odd to me when they go so off base with critiques on their own writings.
"remember when Fox presented a faked document showing the president had lied about his National Guard service oh wait that was CBS"
Sorry deflecting isn't going to work on this topic.
Its a pretty hard truth that is being demonstrated when you have to have a law thrown out in order to broadcast your "fair and balanced" "news" the way you want.
And no less than a law that forbids false and misleading reporting.
I wish Obama would push for a law like that in this nation.
Can you imagine the outrage the right would vomit forth! HAHAHAHA LOL!
It'd be so fun counter that outrage with a simple question.
If you're not gonna lie then why you so mad bro?
Fox leans right, NBC,MSNBC, CNN NPR ABC and CBS lean LEFT. Sounds fair.
remember when Fox presented a faked document showing the president had lied about his National Guard service oh wait that was CBS
He didn't say anything about Fox News being banned but that Canada was trying to make sure their news agencies keep to the facts.
"Canada's Radio Act requires that "a licenser may not broadcast....any false or misleading news." The provision has kept Fox News and right wing talk radio out of Canada and helped make Canada a model for liberal democracy and freedom."" (Huffington post)
So it isn't that they ban Fox News but any news organization that behaves in a manner not consistent with their regulations.
Claim: The Fox News television channel has been banned in Canada.
And Fox News is the freaking epicenter of that crap.
LOL! Just go dig into why they were trying to get a law in Canada that deals with only allowing factual reporting in the news media thrown out.
They wanted to take their brand of cesspool "journalism" up north and thankfully the Canadians are smarter than that.
At least some of them.
"There must be a reason fox has such a following other than we are all knuckle dragging mouth breathers who don't know any better"
Just because something or someone has a larger following doesn't make it more right or better than something or someone else.
I mean how many batchit insane comments and "facts" have we seen the right throw out into the wind since Obama took office?
How many of those held up under scrutiny?
Why did they achieve a high level of acceptance among the right?
Thats easy! No one questioned those facts.
They take it at face value and run wild with it! LOL!
Example? The whole Obama Birth Certificate thing.
When faced with proof. Well the proof was found not acceptable.
But thats to be expected from intellectually dishonest people.
They got their position and will not cede that position under any circumstances.
The only reason they quite down about a topic is that they look for new ways of slinging mud.
Lol...no. Sadly, true jounralism isn't around as much as it used to be. Most major news networks have a entertainment aspect to it.
By what book do you refer and again, msnbc conservative?
I'm always wary of justification through numbers. Entertainment (even in the news) will always get higher ratings than by-the-book news coverage. Fox does a good job in adding a bit of panem et circenses to their news.
Fox does have "liberals" on their shows but the quality of liberals I question sometimes. Take The Five cast. Is there any doubt that it is a 4 to 1 ratio on that show with Beckle being the only somewhat liberal perspective? Hannity and O'Reilly might have liberally minded people on those shows but they have a bad habit of yelling them down. That and with Hannity, he doesn't always go one on one with the liberal but also has a fellow conservative on ther to make it 2 against 1.
There must be a reason fox has such a following other than we are all knuckle dragging mouth breathers who don't know any better
Fox news leans right, indont think there is much doubt however they do have prominent liberal voices on most shows. Who is the conservative on msnbc?
Brant also rambles on about the Koran and where it says lying is ok to achieve one's goals and finishes it with, "Add up Obama's Muslim training, along with his Marxist and radical educations and it clear why he is the liar-in-chief."
Ignoring the fact that Obama is not a Muslim and there is no evidence that Obama ever fals back on anything from the Koran.
Then Mr. Brant returns with various little bits like, "I do watch some Fox News as they are the only news source to air both sides of every issue."
I watch Fox News as well, but only a person with rose colored glasses would think they are fair and balance. The editorial news they serve leans Right. Nothing wrong with that as long as you do not rely on Fox for all of your news.
Pitrolo stated, "The objective is simple, elect no Democrat - period. It matters not about the Democrat's capabilities or whether he/she is the better competing candidate."
That's a pretty dangerous way of thinking. One should always vote for the best candidate, regardless of politics. If one wants to send a message to the Democratic Party...vote out the bad ones from within the ranks.
Some interesting LTTE this week. Mr. Harton stated, "Circumventing the constitution to achieve his goals on healthcare, coal use, auto bail outs, and recess appointments to name a few."
I don't see how our President circumvented our Constitution in any way that wasn't legal. The recess appointments happen under every modern President. Heck, I don't mind them too much because Congress drags their feet so much and it takes too much time.
Indeed Fred sees himself as such.
What an appropriate application of Animal Farm.
