LtTE Overreactions

There are many people I respect on here, so it seems very odd to me when they go so off base with critiques on their own writings.

Do you think that watching on a TV counts toward Neilson ratings?

Actually there is a big distinction and it is relevant to what Ithink said.

How I "watch" the news isn't counted like TV is by the Nielsen Ratings.

If you look at Fox's ratings and the age demographic of those watching you will see that in the 35 to 64 years of age group there are a lot of people watching Fox.

And conservatives being traditionalists I don't see them as being as reliant on online based media as liberals are.

Also I will say I do watch TV. But increasingly less and less of it. For one thing I am sick of all the stinking commercials. And the channels/shows I liked of really went downhill in the past couple of years.

Syfy is just plain crap anymore. History Channel is the Picker/Pawn Shop Channel now. The Discovery Channel is weighted down significantly by scripted shows now.

In fact soon I will be cutting off the cable once walking dead is finished.

There are cheaper ways of getting the shows I want. And I am going that route.

Myth you are losing it.

Posted 143 days ago.

Tiredofit

So you do watch it, just not on an actual TV big distinction.

Hey Tiredofit. Ummm in case you don't know. A lot of what is televised on tv can be found online.

Also a lot of the really stupid comments that Fox News makes gets in the news. I then go to Fox's site and watch it.

Thats how I know.

The OBAMA site is sooooooo bad!

I get it! I really do. So nice of you to notice!

Surely this ability to discern colossal screwups isn't something new is it?

Because you know I can readily see that you are so much about the fleecing of this great nation and the squandering of its riches.

Its just....Its just a crying shame we didn't have the rights impeccable discernment when Bush's cronie ol Shotgun Cheney decided to give millions of dollars in no bid contracts to his old pals at Halliburton.

Contracts I'll remind you that weren't fulfilled or were finished shoddily. And in some cases made our troops sick in the case of water purification that was done badly.

Just in case you forgot your own words. "Take me for example. Every single bit of news I consume is done their my computer or apps on my cell phone. I do not watch televised news at all." HMMMMMMMM

Myth, how would you know that if you don't watch tv? Sounds to me like you are an expert on a network you claim to never watch

" This statement demonstrates Myth is a complete moron or he really does not watch TV because when a NEWS MAN gets a thrill up his leg seeing Obama, that's a sign of bias don't ya think??"

Using that logic what about the simple reality that the left and Obama can not do anything right in the eyes of say Fox News?

Thats a sign of bias don't you think?

Funny that you should mention the Obamacare site.

Because low and behold I have for your perusal three more examples of things going wrong with technology. Hardware and software wise.

The new game systems made by Microsoft and Sony are having hardware issues as we speak. And they are brand new systems.

Then on the software front we have Batman Arkham Origins which was released on October 25 and as of today I along with thousands of others am still waiting for them to fix the game so it is playable.

It like the Obamacare site was rushed to market without proper testing.

how slanted to the left CNN and MSNBC is. But is that really the truth? This statement demonstrates Myth is a complete moron or he really does not watch TV because when a NEWS MAN gets a thrill up his leg seeing Obama, that's a sign of bias don't ya think>??

Oh my gosh, the admirers of the obamacare fisaco web site are praising the liberals' tech smartness. L Liberals, and especially obama, look at proof of something and swear it is the opposite. Obama and his followers would say red is black without batting an eye. Their brazeness is astounding.

Just following the polls, myth, about how the majority of Americans believe. Dream on about Fox News,

Tiredofit

You claim that the left is more tech savvy than the right is simply false.

Posted 143 days ago.

Tiredofit

Your example of the last two elections shows flawed logic. If there was a higher tech presence it was due to a lot of young college kids, who are tech savvy, and usually liberal until they grow up. Some never do.

So the answer is no you cannot back it up other than some anecdotal things. The parkersburg tea party website??? Really?? I guess it works better that the Obamacare site and I bet it cost 600 million less to build.

Thats why its bull crap to make a statement that says that because Fox News has higher viewership numbers it means there are more out there who support that view point.

Thats what Ithink is trying to imply.

Its just not the truth and it leaves out other forms of media consumption methods.

Posted 143 days ago.

mythravere

There are glaring examples of the tech savviness on that topic alone.

One local example is the Parkersburg Tea Party website. Its a freaking wreck of a site.

Compare a for the most part left leaning site such as the Huffington Post to a site such as the Drudge Report.

The Drudge Report is horrible in its presentation.

Presentation of news and the messages they contain is everything in this day and age.

Why is it that left leaning sites are more polished and right ones take a 90's approach to how they code things?

Now granted this isn't an all across the board view on this topic. There are exceptions of course to each side.

The past two presidential election cycles.

The Democrats have had a far higher level of internet presence and connection than their Republican counterparts.

Another thing to consider is the distribution of the demographics that use information technology.

That would by far and large be in the younger age groups. The same groups that are seen to be more of a left leaning variety.

It also bears mentioning that the Tea Party is largely by demographic older people who do not consume their media the same as the those on the left.

Go to a left wing website and you will see a better built website in most cases than you would a right leaning one.
