Now as for the Ice Ages. There are various theories as to why we came out of them. Some involve a change in oceanic currents due to a warming Antarctic. Earths wobble may have had a hand in it. Changes in the earths albedo.

There is a lot to read when it comes to ice ages. Both their causes and dissipations.

Al Gore I could give two sharts about. My belief in mans impact on the climate isn't based on him. I follow what the scientists are saying. I look at deviations in seasonal weather patterns. Above all I try to understand the science of why it is happening. Take for example that in earths history some of the hottest periods took place when the carbon content of the atmosphere was way higher than it is today. Then I take into account where that carbon went back then.

When mass extinctions took place how much carbon was pulled out of this planets carbon cycle? Where did that carbon go? Well we know where some of it went. We use if for energy. And by using it we are returning it back to the atmosphere.

When it comes to making decisions on courses of action I look at the facts and make the best possible choice.

Politicians do not do that. They dont do that because we the people dont force them to do that. We dont do that right there because we have allowed ourselves to become polarized.

Again MYTH, where does GOVT come into play. I agree that we must manage our resources and our land. What I am trying to get you to understand, is that politicians will convince the stupid that they are the answer to an imagined crisis and ONLY thier freedoms and wealth will fix this crisis.

I do weigh things on merit. If someone tells me we are destroying this earth I say NO WE ARE NOT. But we are messing with the natural order of life in pretty significant ways. Take for example the testosterone level of men today. Its about 20% less than two decades ago. Why is that? My guess chemicals in the food we eat and the water along with the everyday objects we come into contact with.

We cant literally destroy the earth unless we build a massive bomb. But we can mess up the environment and the chemistry that makes life possible and degrade the ability of life to sustain itself on this planet. We can deplete our natural resources. We can be stupid and not come up with plans of action in the event of food supply disruptions. Although some will survive undoubtedly.
