| Latest Post: Started By: Rank: Category Who Lied About the Attack on 9/11/12?It is incredible that democrats keep blathering about Romney lying, when we have the shock and disgust of seeing the president and his administration lying to us about the security of Americans. Unbelievable . Member CommentsAaronSActually the people who did the heavy lifting Harry was the ones who got arrested. Had they just kept their mouths shut, they would likely have did a little time for B&E's and that would have been it but they first thing they did was to talk about a previous break in. The majority of the evidence against them, and those above them, came from them. Even Nixon's own undoing was by his own hand in the form of his tapes. Posted 7 days ago. harryandersonAs to the more current and important issue--whether the media is more bought now, I suspect that’s true, but I can't swear to it because I have no evidence to support any claims I might make. And of course I agree that partisan politics keep this stuff alive today. That’s why I have little regard for Congressional investigations. I see them as more driven by politics than search for truth. When partisans do all the scheduling and select all the witnesses, I don’t see how I can conclude anything else. I don’t worry about media bias because I believe God, who says, “All things hidden will be revealed.” God protects believers from lies. Posted 7 days ago. harryandersonAaron, I don’t remember the media in general investigating Watergate. As I remember, the Washington Post did the heavy lifting. Actually, I think Federal prosecutors from Nixon’s own Justice Department did the most. They kept digging and got convictions, giving the Senate Watergate Committee a slam-dunk at the start of hearings. The story fascinated me as a young man because it overturned many things that I had been taught. You might say it jolted me into adulthood. AaronSIt's crap like this though Harry that will upset the media and give them the motivations to do their jobs. The Justice Department secretly obtained two months of telephone records of reporters and editors for The Associated Press in what the news cooperative's top executive called a "massive and unprecedented intrusion" into how news organizations gather the news. The records obtained by the Justice Department listed incoming and outgoing calls, and the duration of each call, for the work and personal phone numbers of individual reporters, general AP office numbers in New York, Washington and Hartford, Conn., and the main number for AP reporters in the House of Representatives press gallery, according to attorneys for the AP. AaronSThat was a time when the media wasn't bought by the right of the left. CNN, MSNBC and the rest of the left isn't going to keep it alive Harry and Faux will is viewed with contempt by the left. Partisan politics are what keep stuff like this alive nowadays, don't you agree!!!!! Posted 7 days ago. harryandersonAs for those “5 guys arrested in a hotel room in Washington:” That incident was kept alive by press and prosecutors, not by Congressional committees. As I remember, it took a long time for Congress to act. Here’s a brief timeline: On June 17, 1972, the break-in occurred. Three days later, two obscure police beat reporters wrote that the burglars had ties to the White House. On May 17, 1973, a full eleven months after the break-in, the Senate Watergate Committee finally got around to public hearings. By this time, two White House staffers (Liddy and McCord) had already been convicted and three others (Kleindienst, Ehrlichman, and Haldeman) had resigned. It seems that the Congressional partisans who went after Nixon waited much longer and had more facts than the current Congressional partisans who are going after Obama. AaronSMod, I know I'm pushing all the right buttons when multiple posters respond to my comments. Thanks. Posted 7 days ago. moderationaarons sez-"And while I don't think the same thing will happen because I agree, the media is going to do as little as possible, I do believe the issue will remain a sore on the backside of liberals and if nothing else, could very well derail the potential Presidency of Hillary Clinton. Just remember where you heard it first." Wow, talk about taking ones self seriously. AaronS"aarons- ahhh, I've been outed you devil, you." Good for you. If you read back in the comments, you will see I support your right to marry. Posted 7 days ago. AaronS"I won't go there if you won't go there." Sorry, I missed that one Myth. Just so you know though, I didn't go anywhere. My post was written as it was merely to show how absurd your comments were regarding the use of the IRS. Given your response, I'm confident I made my point. As for making the paint peel if "I get nasty" about all I can say is you take yourself way too seriously dude. I mean after all, do you really think there are people who value your opinion? Come on man!!!!!! BAAAHAAAHAA Posted 7 days ago. mythravereAnd bias press. Like rightwing media isn't biased. You're just made that most of the other media isn't frothing at the mouth like the rightwing shows tend to do. You know I always loved it when Fox News would employ their favorite line. By the way we wish you well. LOL! That was veiled insult because they clearly meant the opposite. Posted 7 days ago. mythravereAs I asked earlier is this innocence until proven guilty or guilty until a connection is found. If none is found well...just keep the issue on the backburner until something can used from it. Posted 7 days ago. Post a Comment |
