PARKERSBURG - Jan Dils, Attorneys at Law, is celebrating its 20th anniversary in January.
"It's hard to believe that it's been 20 years," said founder Jan Dils. "It is so rewarding to know that every day holds new opportunities to help make a real difference in someone's life. It keeps our team focused on what really matters, and we are ready to tackle the next 20."
Dils and team started in 1994 with a single location in Parkersburg. Over the 20-year span, the business has grown to 107 members of the staff serving clients from six offices in West Virginia and one in North Carolina.
The law firm is recognized for helping clients receive Social Security and VA benefits. A partnership with attorney Jim Leach also has opened the door to helping clients in West Virginia with personal injury cases.
Her slogan is the jingle "She Won't Take No For An Answer."
"When the business was starting out, I wanted to emphasize the qualities that make us a good choice for clients," she said. "After all, there are plenty of attorneys to choose from. But our clients choose us because we dig in and get results. That's the bottom line. I think our slogan has been so successful because people recognize the truth and commitment behind it."
The firm also has become known for its community involvement, from small, one-time gestures to larger scale events such as the annual Walk4Vets raising thousands of dollars to benefit local veteran; the entire Jan Dils team is involved in various efforts to help their communities on a daily basis.
"It is amazing to see the spirit that every member of our team contributes," Dils said. "Their actions demonstrate time and again that helping our clients receive the benefits they deserve is more than just a job-it is truly a privilege."
The firm will schedule events throughout the year for the 20th anniversary.
