Ica Brookover Felter, 86, of St. Marys, W.Va., was a selfless, devoted, servant of God and was granted her angel wings on Dec., 30, 2013. She passed away among family members in Marietta, Ohio.
Her greatest passions were to serve God and care for her family that she loved wholeheartedly, and supported in every way. She was a nursing assistant at the former Colin Anderson Center and a member of First Baptist Church in Belmont.
She was born Ica Blondina Edwards on Feb 1, 1927, in Wirt County, to the late Jesse and Pearl Lott Edwards.
She is survived by five sons, Jess (Kate) Brookover, Edgel (Wilma) Brookover, Jack (Sheryl) Brookover, Donald L. (Bonnie) Brookover II and Richard Brookover; three daughters, Delores (Tom) Reynolds, Joyce Norman and Sharon (Jack) Yoho; 45 grandchildren; and one sister, Agnes Harkins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Beulah, Helen, Mildred, Eileen, Jesse Pearl and Norma; brothers, Clarence "Sonny" and Harold; and two grandchildren, Nicholas Brookover and Jaxon Antill.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, at Ingram Funeral Home, with Pastor Brian Weber officiating. Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery, St. Marys. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. today and from 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
