MORGANTOWN - The fall sports at Parkersburg South received several top honors in the Two Rivers Athletic Conference voting.
In volleyball, senior middle hitter Kayleigh Rexroad was named Player of the Year. Joining Rexroad on the TRAC first team were teammates Kasey Williams at outside hitter and libero Logan Somerville. Patriots setter Taylor Ratliff was selected as an honorable mention.
South's Ron Bucholtz, who took the girls soccer team to the Class AAA regional championship, was named Coach of the Year for that particular sport. Earning first-team honors for the Patriots were junior midfielder Taylor Life and senior forward Lexi Smith.
Placed on the second team for South were senior forward Kristin Jones and senior midfielder Emily Brezler.
Defender Kristin Offutt earned honorable mention.
A slew of Patriots were recognized on the boys soccer team, including senior midfielders Dillon Dowler and Andrew Suggs on the first team. Second-team berths went to junior defender Brad Emerick and senior forward Brett Mattson. Sophomore keeper Adam Colteryahn received honorable mention.
Senior running back Cody Smith was the lone South first-teamer in football. However, on the second team five Patriots were recognized - sophomore quarterback Garrett Gilkeson, senior offensive lineman Gage Stephens, junior linebacker Seth Delancey, junior free safety Trevor Boot and junior linebacker Brandon Moss.
