W.Va. 68 needs cell towers

December 8, 2013
Parkersburg News and Sentinel

A few years ago the Belleville area along West Virginia 68, heading from Parkersburg to Ravenswood, was hit by a tornado. In the following days an article in the paper stated that first responders couldn't even communicate, in such an important time, due to no towers in the area to get a signal and were working to add a few but it has yet to happen. There is probably a 15 mile stretch where if you have your car break down, hit a deer, or need other assistance good luck. And we all see in the news approaching an unfamiliar house for help can be a risk in itself. It's long overdue and needs to be added soon.
