Kenneth W. Lough, 65, of St. Marys, W.Va., passed away Dec. 1, 2013, at Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus, Parkersburg.
He was born Oct. 2, 1948, in Hebron, W.Va., a son of Lucille Smith Lough of St. Marys, W.Va., and the late Russell W. Lough.
He was a 1966 graduate of St. Marys High School, and was a member of the 1963 undefeated/unscored on football team. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran serving from 1969 to 1971, serving on the USS Guam. He was retired from Cytec Industries after 43 years, and he never missed a day's work. He was a member of George Street Church of Christ, he worked with Pleasants County Habitat for Humanity, and worked on the St. Marys High School weight room. He loved to work and spend time in his garage and barn. He loved to hunt and fish, especially his fishing trips to Canada. He enjoyed Blue Devil sporting events, the Mountaineers, the Pittsburgh Steelers and NASCAR.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 47 years, Linda Higgins Lough; two daughters, Dee Lough and Shannon (Andy) Auxier, both of St. Marys, W.Va.; grandson, Peyton Auxier of St. Marys, W.Va.; sister, Louise White of St. Marys, W.Va.; brother, Russell J. (Judy) Lough of Meadville, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Lough; and a brother-in-law, Steve White.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, W.Va., with Richard Parsons and Andy Auxier officiating. Interment will be in Maple Lane Masonic Cemetery, Hebron, W.Va., with military graveside rites. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and from noon-1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
