Charles "Chuck" D. Fought Jr., 53, of Elizabeth, W.Va., passed away Nov. 27, 2013, surrounded by his family.
He was the son of the late Charles Fought Sr. and Helen Fought of Elizabeth, W.Va.
He was a 1979 graduate of Wirt County High School. He was employed by the West Virginia Department of Highways in Elizabeth. Prior to going to work for the Department of Highways, he worked at the Wirt County Senior citizens and R and J Trucking of Marietta, Ohio. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, 4-wheeler riding and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Fiancee Debbie Campbell Evans; his children, Rachel Schuh of St Louis, Mo., Jo Anna (Robert) Herting of Spencer, W.Va., and Jacob Fought of Elizabeth; grandchildren, Eric Mahn Jr of St Louis, Mo., and Elizabeth Lee, Robbie Jr and Conner Herting of Spencer; brothers and sister, Debbie (Mike) Bibbee of Elizabeth, Nike Fought of Burning Springs, W.Va., Ronnie Fought of Elizabeth, and Dave Fought of Rockport; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his father.
Services will be Saturday, Nov. 30 at 2 p.m., at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth, W.Va., with the Rev. Timothy Hopkins officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. on Saturday until time of service at 2 p.m. Interment will be at West Cemetery of Elizabeth.
