PARKERSBURG - Wood County commissioners have announced vacancies occurring as terms on boards expire, nominated individuals to fill the vacancies and finalized other appointments.
Two vacancies on the Fort Boreman Historical Park board were announced for current terms expiring Dec. 31. The members whose terms expire, Robert Enoch and Gary Traugh have been nominated to continue serving. The commission must wait one week to finalize appointments.
Vacancies on the Wood County Planning Commission were announced as the terms of Kevin Roberts and Steve Valentine expire at the end of this month. Both names were placed in nomination for the vacancies.
The commissioners appointed Roger Martin to the Lubeck Public Service District and Charlie Matthews to the Wood County Building Commission.
Eugene Stump and Debbie Schreckengost were nominated for the Wood County Veterans Park Advisory Board.
James Keith and Richard Dunn were nominated for vacancies on the Wood County Parks and Recreation Commission, Mountwood Park's governing board.
Dave Burris was appointed to the Wood County Alternative Transportation System Council as the Department of Transportation's representative.
Rob Shaffer was appointed to the Wood County Historic Landmarks Commission
