Vivian Montes Mendez and Anthony William Frey were married on May 26 on a terrace overlooking the Caribbean Sea in Rincon, Puerto Rico. Pastor Matthew Van Winkle, brother-in-law of the groom, officiated the ceremony. A reception was held following the ceremony in the Art Deco room of the Rincon of the Seas hotel.
The maid of honor was Vimaliz Montes Mendez, sister of the bride. The best man was Jesis Reyes Velardo, friend of the couple. James Van Winkle, nephew of the groom, was the ring bearer.
The bride is the daughter of Victor M. Montes Marquez and Aideliz Mendez Santos of Bayamon, Puerto Rico. She is an English teacher working as an educational consultant and is a student at the University of Puerto Rico.
The groom is the son of James and Linda Frey of Belpre. He is the grandson of the late William and Katherine Frey of Belpre, and Frances and the late Rev. Carl Gillilan of Coolville. He is a student at American Public University and will graduate with a degree in web development and programming in April 2014.
The couple reside in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. A winter honeymoon is planned for next year.
