Betty Easter Ellis Scott, 80, of Williamstown, W.Va., formerly of St. Albans, passed away Nov. 6, 2013, at Camden Clark Medical Center, Parkersburg.
She was born July 30, 1933 in St. Albans and was a daughter of Henry and Carrie Easter.
Betty was a 1952 graduate of St. Albans High School. She loved gardening and flowers.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, George Ellis, and her siblings, Samuel, Bill, Clay and Peyton Easter, Margaret Grass and Emma Mae Easter.
She was devoted to her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Betty is survived by her husband, Roy Scott of Williamstown; daughter, Diane (Joe) Abshire of Williamstown; son, Larry (Krista) Ellis of Elkins; stepdaughters, JoAn (Bruce) Jackson of Lancaster, N.Y. and Marie Koster of Cross Lanes; grandchildren, Andy (Holly) Jarvis of Summersville, Ashley (Ross) Mullenix of Williamstown, Alex Abshire of Williamstown, Kadi Ellis of Elkins, Ryan, Kyle and Sean Jackson of Lancaster, New York, Brian (Sally) Koster of Huntington and Sara Lacy of Winfield; and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by four loving caregivers who became like family to her, Sandy Cross, Cynthia Sands, Gayla Wright and Myra Douglas.
A celebration of Betty's life will be 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov 9, 2013 at Casdorph & Curry Funeral Home, 110 B Street, St. Albans.
There will be a gathering of family and friends from 10:30 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
