Charles Dewy Carder, 85, of Logan, W.Va., passed away Nov. 4, 2013, at Trinity Health Services in Logan.
He was born Dec. 30, 1927, in Clarksburg, a son of the late Hoy and Ruth (Wine) Carder.
Charles was born in Clarksburg, W.Va. in 1927. He was a mechanic and worked for the Clearwater, Florida Highway Dept. until he retired. He enjoyed playing his guitars, singing and cars.
He is survived by children, Charles (Darlene) Carder of S.C., Sandra Plotar of S.C., Ronald (Diane) Carder of Ohio, Fred (Debra) Carder of N.Y., Anthony (Deborah) Carder of S.C., Kathleen (Jake) O'Hara of New York, James Carder of New York, Benjamin Carder of New York and Mary Johanna (Jeff) Goldsmith of Oklahoma; sisters, Helen Johnson of Ohio and Sharon (Bill) Kunik of W.Va. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Angela (Bottingi) Carder; and child, Mary Angela Carder.
Funeral services will be Friday, 1 p.m., at the McCullough Funeral Home, Pennsboro, with Pastor Jimmy Lipscomb officiating. Interment will follow at the Pumphrey Cemetery, Lewis County, W.Va. Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday.
