Alfred L. "Al" Piggott, 70, of Davisville, W.Va., passed away Oct. 31, 2013.
He was born in Olympia, Washington, the son of the late Gilbert Piggott and Olive Nelson Piggott of Parkersburg.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran and had retired from the Iron Workers Union Local 787. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed Bluegrass music. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was so proud of his grandsons and their accomplishments.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife, Dianna K. Higgins Piggott of Davisville. His son, David Piggott and wife Jeana of Cookville, Tenn.. His daughter, Julie Hoschar and husband Shane of Cottageville, W.Va. His grandsons, Andrew Hoschar, Jacob Piggott, Joshua Piggott, Adam Hoschar and John Piggott. His sisters, Marilyn Sue Evans and husband Roland of Michigan and Jean Craig and husband Don of Georgia.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg with Evangelist Teddy Tackett officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday from 2 p.m. until service time.
