PARKERSBURG - A Belleville woman was taken to the hospital after her vehicle struck a tree at the intersection of New England Ridge Road and Greenland Drive in Washington just before 5 p.m. Wednesday.
The Wood County Sheriff's Office and Lubeck Volunteer Fire Department responded to the one-vehicle crash next to a residence near 60 New England Ridge Road.
Linda Riffle, 50, of Belleville was traveling southbound in a 2006 Buick Rendezvous on New England Ridge Road when she lost control and went off the roadway.

Police said wet road conditions caused Riffle to lose control and crash into a tree.
She was transported to Camden Clark Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
No citations were issued in the crash.
