ATHENS, Ohio - A combined effort from several local agencies ended with a methamphetamine lab bust over the weekend, police said.
Early Saturday morning, two Albany residents were arrested after police found precursors for manufacturing meth.
Ethan Allen Pierce, 24, 2725 Crabtree Road, and Andrew Luke Barstow, 23, 32490 Zimmerman Road, both of Albany, were charged with assembly of chemicals to manufacture drugs with a child present, a felony in the second degree.
The two adult males and one female were living in the Crabtree Road residence with a young child, less than 2 years old. Detectives executed the search warrant and the child was placed with a grandparent.
Evidence was discovered at the scene of a prior meth cook along with the chemicals to manufacture the drug inside the residence, officials said.
The men were transported to the Southeastern Regional Jail and each was held on a $25,000 bond out of Athens Municipal Court.
