PARKERSBURG - A single-vehicle wreck Thursday on Interstate 77 sent at least one person to the hospital and delayed traffic for nearly an hour.
The vehicle was going northbound just past exit 179 when it left the road and rolled into the median, coming to rest on its top. Scanner chatter indicated at least one person trapped in the vehicle.
The accident snarled traffic in the southbound lane of the interstate for about an hour, forcing vehicles down to one lane on the shoulder of the road. The northbound lane remained unaffected.
