PARKERSBURG - A single-vehicle accident Thursday on Interstate 77 has sent at least one person to the hospital.
The vehicle was going northbound just past exit 179 when it left the road and rolled into the median, coming to rest on its top. Scanner chatter indicated at least one person trapped in the vehicle.
The accident snarled traffic in the southbound lane of the interstate, forcing vehicles down to one lane on the shoulder of the road.
At least one person was pulled from the wreckage and taken by ambulance. No other details were immediately available.
