Nancy Bell Rowan, 86, a longtime resident of Belpre, Ohio and most recently of Covenant Village of Cincinnati, passed away peacefully on Sept. 21, 2013.
Nancy was preceded in death by her precious husband, Kevin, and her parents and eight siblings. She is survived by one brother, Robert Bell of Charlton Heights, W.Va., and four children, Nola Miller (Bill) of Atlanta, Ga., Ruth Rowan (Marsha) of Cincinnati, Ohio, Kevin Mark Rowan (Leigh) of Fort Wayne, Ind., and William Rowan (Marianne) of Parkersburg. She is survived by three grandchildren, Tammy Rowan of Cincinnati, Ohio, Bridjet Rowan of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Luke Rowan of Indianapolis, Ind.; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Nancy retired after 30 dedicated years of teaching in Belpre City Schools and was a member of the Washington County, Ohio Retired Teachers Association. She was an active member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church. Nancy enjoyed a rich life full of family, friends, faith, the arts, shopping, travel and laughter.
A Memorial Mass will be held at the St. Ambrose Catholic Church at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, with Father David Huffman as celebrant.
