Martha Jane Frum, 92, of Athens, Ohio, died Sunday evening, Sept. 15, 2013, at Marietta Care & Rehabilitation Center, Marietta.
Born Feb. 25, 1921 in Athens, she was the daughter of the late Frank James and Clara Jane Heath Thornton.
She was a graduate of Athens High School and had worked at McBee Corp. and Verizon Telephone Company. She had also worked as a custodian at the Richland United Methodist Church, Athens. She was a member of the Clark's Chapel United Methodist Church, Athens. She was a hard worker, great cook and had a friendly and outgoing personality.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Sandi Frum of Vienna, W.Va.; five grandchildren, Sherry (Carlos) Garcia, Rick (Angie) Frum, Duane Frum, Misty (Chris) Hanning and Michael Fox; and 9 great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Edward Frum; a daughter, Clara Jane Fox; and a sister, Louise Edmonds.
Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, 1 p.m. at Jagers & Sons Funeral Home, Athens, Ohio, with Rev. Dr. Karen Crawford officiating. Burial will be in Clark's Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call today, 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
