Penn Modern Mothers Club will be starting on the 54th year of OCCL with hostess Dorothy Clark on Sept. 16, at 7:30 p.m., and co-hostess Angela Clawson. The program will be presentation of books for 2013-2014 and install new officers for the coming year as follows: President, Janet Suhoski; Vice President, Terry Best, Secretary, Cheryl Kirkbride; Treasurer, Cindy Wilson; and Historian, Rememberance chairman and News Reporter, Dorothy Clark.
Pamela Mosier of Vincent was a Friday afternoon visitor at the home of James and Beverly Sealock.
Sherri and Alex Maxwell were at the home of James and Beverly Sealock on Saturday. Alex mowed the yard and Sherri visited with her parents. We appreciated Alex for mowing very much.
On Sept. 1, the Jones and Phillips Reunion was held at the Senior Citizens Building in Glouster. There were 61 people in attendance. Eleanor Smith was the oldest attending. Mae Milhoan was unable to attend due to her health. Mae's maternal grandmother was a Jones.
Last weekend, Ronnie Yerian, his son, Jason, and his grandson, Mason Yerian, went camping out at Scioto Lake. They caught a lot of fish.
Shelley Mason, of Lubbock, Texas, called her mother and the temperatures had been over 90 degrees this past week. They had lots of storms and rain.
Beverly Sidwell took her mother for banking and shopping in McConnelsville on Friday. They got a lot of fresh fruit and fresh vegetables.
On Saturday, Bev met Rob at Kent State and went to a ball game.
He came home and was to return to Kent State on Monday.
