Norma G. (Wells) Bumgarner, 86, of PeeWee, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Sept. 9, 2013.
She passed away at home following an extended illness.
She was a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and attended Sandyville Senior Center. She had worked at Visco Plant before moving to the family farm where she enjoyed gardening, farming, sewing, cooking and spending time with her family, friends and especially her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Basil Bumgarner; three daughters, Phyllis (Berton) Robinson of Winchester, Va., Drenda Hutchinson of Elizabeth, W.Va., and Sheila (Mark) Dye of PeeWee, W.Va.; 10 grandchildren, Jason (Angela) Hutchinson, Alexa (Timothy) Haselhorst, Trena (Nathan) Carpenter, Erin Robinson, Matthew (Christina) Dye, Brandon (Katlyn) Dye, Justin (Connie) Hutchinson, Hannah Robinson, Philip Robinson and Devin (Brianne Davis) Dye; eight great-grandchildren, Kamryn and Braxton Carpenter, Peyton and Parker Dye, Caleb and Mitchell Haselhorst, Dylan Hutchinson, Bristol Dye and Hadley Dye.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Della Wells; daughter, Brenda Sue Bumgarner; sisters, Burndena Bowers, Teennie Lemley and Hazel Archer; brothers, Glen, Cecil, Leon and Noble Wells; and son-in-law, Ronnie Hutchinson.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth, W.Va., with Pastor Donzel Murray officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Interment will be at Pisgah Cemetery.
