MARIETTA - Without its top two golfers, Marietta High finished third in a tri-match at Marietta Country Club Wednesday.
Jeffrey Hensler and Nathan Matheny were unavailable for the Tigers, who shot 171 as a team to finish nine strokes behind first place Parkersburg South (162) and three strokes behind second place Parkersburg High (168).
"Considering we didn't have our top two golfers, I thought we did pretty well," said MHS coach John Doughty.
