PARKERSBURG - Individuals considering starting or returning to college can stop by West Virginia University at Parkersburg's LEAP day (Learn, Enroll, Apply, Plan) today to learn what the college has to offer. The event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., will feature bounce houses and a rock climbing wall for kids, and free ice cream and refreshments. All activities will take place at the Caperton Center at the college's main campus.
Those who apply for enrollment during the event will receive a tuition waiver for one three-hour class and a free t-shirt. Representatives from financial aid, records, admissions, non-traditional programs and veterans' services will be on hand to answer any questions.
In addition, the college's new Center for Early Learning, which opens Aug. 19, will have an open house for those interested in registering for child care. The center will accept children ages 13 months to six years and is open to the general public.
