PARKERSBURG - Several roadways were flooded in the Parkersburg area after a storm rolled through the Mid-Ohio Valley Monday night.
The Parkersburg Fire Department responded to multiple calls for flooding in the area. Reports of flooding included Park Avenue and 23rd Street, Camden Avenue and Division Street and 29th Street and Fairview Avenue in Parkersburg. Vienna had flooding around College Parkway, officials said.
Officials with the Department of Highways were notified of a long list of area flooding, said a dispatcher with the Wood County 911 Center. The DOH workers were called to put barriers up on the roadways that were affected the most by the rapidly rising water.

Emergency vehicles block 23rd Street near Park Avenue Monday after heavy rains flooded streets and roads in the Parkersburg and surrounding areas.
Other areas, including East and Mary streets and Staunton Avenue, were flooded around 11 p.m., but the water had subsided by about 11:30 p.m., officials said.
MonPower reported power outages being the worst in the Lubeck and Mineral Wells areas. About 50 people were without power in the Lubeck area and about 42 residents were experiencing power outages in the Mineral Wells area of Wood County, according to the power company website.
