Regarding the so-called "interfaith" services planned to support the homosexual PRIDE movement. Let us be clear, faith has nothing to do with these religious organizations' agendas. Nor are they based on Christ or New Testament teachings. The Lord only includes those under His Grace who repent of their sins, not them who celebrate and flaunt their sins. These rogue "church" leaders consider the Word of God a book of suggestions, rather than the eternal, Living Truth.
"Faith" connotes and requires a spiritual relationship with and a submission to Christ's unwavering authority. It's true that Christians should practice loving the sinner while hating the sin, as we do in our own lives. This is the evidence of a repentant soul. But the Word of God explicitly forbids willfully assimilating into His body unremorseful behavior that He specifically commanded His faithful children to reject.
These local religious leaders do not represent the biblically based majority of the church. In fact, they typify independent denominations who have watched their Bible-following members dwindle over years due to their liberal (unfaithful) practices; meaning the Lord has not blessed their congregations. Embracing the PRIDE movement is a desperate, politically correct and covetous gesture to build their ranks on the sinking sand of the unrepentant.
You think with a name like PRIDE - spelled with all caps - people claiming allegiance to Jesus would take that slap in the face as a wake up-call. The Lord teaches, "Pride comes before destruction, and an arrogant spirit before a fall," and "When pride comes, then comes shame: but with the humble is wisdom."
Shame on anyone who calls him/herself a representative of Christ, yet joins the world in trying to blatantly elevate condemned, sexual conduct to be one with the Holy will of God. Perhaps they'd be better off remembering and heeding the Scripture, "The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom." God forgives, but He also promises to judge and condemn all who choose - choose - to reject His righteous commandments.
