PARKERSBURG - A plea agreement and an arraignment were heard Thursday in Wood County Circuit Court.
* Michael Douglas Johnson, 38, in custody at the North Central Regional Jail, entered an agreement with the state to plead guilty to grand larceny as charged by a special session of the grand jury on Feb. 21, 2012. As part of the plea agreement, a charge of burglary will be dismissed. His sentencing was set for January 2012 before Judge J.D. Beane.
* Jon Lee Barker Jr., 22, in custody at the North Central Regional Jail, was arraigned on an indictment from the May grand jury charging him with grand larceny from January 2012. He pleaded not guilty to the charge and his trial was set for July 30 before Beane.
In hearings on Wednesday
* Christopher Fisher Daniels, 43, 1952 Foley Drive, Parkersburg, entered a plea agreement to plead guilty to a charge of DUI causing death as charged by the May 2012 grand jury. Judge Robert Waters set sentencing for 9 a.m. Aug. 13.
He was indicted by the May 2012 grand jury on two counts each of DUI causing death and driving with a blood alcohol concentration of .08 or greater causing death, and one count each of DUI, driving with a blood alcohol concentration of .15 or greater, involuntary manslaughter and negligent homicide.
* Christopher Lee Batten, 35, in custody at the South Central Regional Jail, appeared for a hearing to set bond for a kidnapping charge. Beane set bond at $50,000 with a condition of GPS tracking.
