James Michael "Mike" Edman, 65, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away June 5, 2013, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
He was born Oct. 4, 1947, in Wirt County, W.Va., a son of Edith Miller Edman of Pettyville, W.Va. and the late James Earl Edman.
Mike was a well-known sales professional and was employed with Montgomery Ward and Value City Furniture. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors.
He is survived by his stepson, Matthew Pierce of Lubeck, W.Va.; one sister, Diane McCrady of Pettyville; three brothers, Greg (Kathy) Edman of Waldorf, Md., Doug (Anne) Edman of Pettyville and Scott (Robin) Edman of Williamstown, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his stepson, Chris Pierce.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 8, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike Street, south Parkersburg. Interment will follow at Evergreen North Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, June 7, at the funeral home.
