Eleanor Cunningham Nay, 72, of Belmont Road, Parkersburg, W.Va., formerly of Cairo, W.Va., departed this life June 1, 2013, at Camden Clark Medical Center, St. Joseph's Campus, Parkersburg, W.Va.
She was born April 19, 1941, at Parkersburg, W.Va., to the late James E. and Helen James Cunningham.
Following her service in the U.S. Army, Eleanor devoted the remainder of her career as a nurse assistant at the former St. Joseph's Hospital in Parkersburg, W.Va.
Eleanor is survived by one son, Michael E. Nay, Rochester, N.Y.; three sisters, Anita Minks (Gene), Cairo, W.Va., Shirley Mossor, Harrisville, W.Va., and Mary Binder (Chuck), Harrisville, W.Va.; two brothers, James E. Cunningham Jr., Pt. Pleasant, W.Va., and Greg Cunningham, Clarksburg, W.Va.; and best friend, Kathy Wigal, Parkersburg, W.Va.
In addition to her parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by two sisters, Patty Elliott and Linda Cnota.
Services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Egypt Cemetery, Cairo, W.Va.
Raiguel Funeral Home, Harrisville, W.Va., has been entrusted to assist the family with the arrangements.
