Kelley O'Rourke Abell, 41, of Centralia, Wash., died Saturday, May 18, 2013, at Providence St. Peters Hospital in Olympia, Wash., after a sudden illness.
She was born in Morgantown, W.Va. and was a former resident of Vienna. She was a 1989 graduate of Parkersburg High School and received her nursing degree from the University of Kentucky. She worked for Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, Ky., and was currently employed as an ICU critical care nurse at Providence Centralia Hospital in Centralia, Wash.
She was preceded in death by her fiance, Eric Bruener; and her grandparents, Ann and Albert Bizub, and Leona and Donald O'Rourke.
She is survived by her daughter, Ashley Abell of Hodgenville; her son, Ryan Abell of Hodgenville; her parents, Donald O'Rourke of Wellington, Fla., and Elaine O'Rourke of Vienna; a sister, Shannon O'Rourke of Parkersburg; and a brother, Sean O'Rourke of Fort Myers, Fla.
A memorial will be held on Saturday, June 15 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Vienna with a memorial Mass at 11 a.m. followed by a luncheon. The family will receive visitors at the church beginning at 10:30 a.m.
Burial will be at Mount Tabor Cemetery in Buffalo, Ky.
