VIENNA - When Ohio Valley University student Stephanie Corbelli submitted an article to West Virginia Senior High magazine, she didn't expect her article to be chosen. Not only was her article selected, it also landed her on the magazine cover.
"When I was told my article was chosen, I was happily surprised and even more surprised when I found out that I was going to be featured on the cover," Corbelli said.
Corbelli's article, "This Treasure Called Education," discusses some of the highlights of participating in a study abroad program in Europe. In it, she encourages other students to travel and learn.
West Virginia Senior High is an annual publication with a print distribution of 40,000 copies to the 124 high schools in West Virginia.
Corbelli, a sophomore elementary education major from Jamestown, N.Y., has a great appreciation for West Virginia and OVU.
"In the past two years I have spent in West Virginia, I have enjoyed its beauty. It is a great privilege and opportunity to be able to represent the state and OVU through the magazine," she said.
