MARIETTA Authorities in Marietta today are searching the Ohio and Muskingum rivers for a missing Parkersburg man last seen on Feb. 13.
Fire departments from Warren, Little Hocking, Williamstown and Marietta, the Marietta Police Department and the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources are looking for Carl Austin Travis, 22, who was reported missing Feb 22.
Search dogs from West Virginia K-9 Search & Rescue team also are participating in the search for Travis. Travis is in the U.S. Navy and failed to report for duty on Feb. 22 aboard the USS Halliburton in Jacksonville Fla.
Travis arrived in Marietta on Feb. 12 and spent the night in the Lafayette Hotel, according to Marietta police.
