GLENVILLE - Ginny Mills hit 6 of 11 from downtown and had 28 points by halftime as host Glenville State cruised past Concord, 95-74, here Thursday evening in a West Virginai Conference affair inside the Jesse R. Lilly Gymnasium.
Mills finished with a game-high 33 points while Kenyona Simmons added a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds. No. 12 GSC, which improved to 25-2 overall and 20-1 in the WVIAC, also received 17 points from Ashleigh Fossett, 10 counters by LaToya Hambrick as well as a game-high 12 rebounds from Aesha Peters.
Concord (7-20, 6-15) was led in scoring by Rachel Artip, who had 24 points and also a team-best 11 boards. Stephanie Wagner flirted with a triple-double in the setback, finishing with 10 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds. Amanda Smith chipped in a dozen points and Leslie Mack 10 for the visitors.

Minnesota 57, Ohio State 56
COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ohio State saved its best for the final minute. Unfortunately for the Buckeyes, Minnesota saved its luck for the final seconds.
After Raven Ferguson hit her second 3-pointer within :08 seconds left to give OSU a 56-55 lead, Minnesota's Rachel Banham raced the other way and hit a runner with 0.4 seconds left to give Minnesota the one-point victory, 57-56.
Trailing by five, 55-50, with just over a minute left, Ferguson cut the lead to two with a 3-pointer from the top of the key. After a timeout, Ferguson came up with a steal on the inbounds and hit a second 3-pointer from the corner to give Ohio State the one-point lead before Banaham hit the game winner.
The loss drops the Buckeyes to 4-9 in the Big Ten and 14-12 overall while Minnesota improves to 16-11 and 5-8.
Marshall 72, ECU 60
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. For the third week in a row, Marshall women's basketball protected home court as the Thundering Herd upset the No. 2 ranked team in C-USA, ECU, on Thursday night, 72-60. The game was played in front of a season-high 1,537 Marshall fans and displayed a contest in which the Herd never trailed.
Marshall improved to 9-16 (3-9 C-USA) with the victory and East Carolina dropped to 18-7 (8-4 C-USA). The win showcased the second week in a row in which the Herd upset the second-ranked team in C-USA as Marshall took down UTEP last week, 59-47.
The Herd had four players score double-digit points against the Pirates. Erica Woods and Leandra King each totaled 15 points, while Suporia Dickens and Norrisha Victrum both had 12.
College Men
Glenville State 80, Concord 73 (OT)
GLENVILLE - Jamel Morris connected on his only 3-pointer to open overtime and host Glenville State never trailed after that as the G-men tripped Concord, 80-73, after needing the extra five minute session to improve to 12-14 here Thursday night in WVIAC action.
The Mountain Lions, who were led by Damien Tunstalle's game-high 25 points, bolted out to an early 18-7 advantage only to have the Pioneers (12-14, 8-13) finish the half on a 26-8 run to take a seven point cushion into the break.
Lamar Mallory posted the only double-double in the victory, going for 18 points and a game-high 11 rebounds. GSC, which plays host to Alderson-Broaddus on Saturday afternoon back inside the Jesse R. Lilly Gymnasium, also received double figure scoring efforts from DJ Blanks (15), Kevin Gray (11) and Morris (11).
