WEIRTON - Mark Winters hit a quartet of 3s and led all scorers with 38 points here Wednesday night as Magnolia jumped out to a 46-32 halftime lead and cruised past host Madonna, 89-72.

The Blue Eagles, now 16-4 with a home contest tonight versus Parkersburg, also received 21 points from Zach Willhoite and a dozen from Stephen Rogalski.

James Carnes and Ross Comis paced the Blue Don scoring attack with 21 and 20 counters, respectively.

Wirt County 76

ELLENBORO -Ritchie County trailed by one point in the fourth quarter but rallied to defeat Wirt County 82-76 on Wednesday night.

Ritchie County took a 63-59 lead into the final eight minutes before Wirt County forged ahead 72-71.

The Rebels recovered by shooting 55 percent (32-of-58) for the game and improved to 16-5. D.J. Burgess knocked down four 3-pointers and led Ritchie County (16-5) with 24 points. Teammate Johnny Hogue added five treys and scored 19 points, while Andrew Davis and Jessie Hilvers pitched in 12 and 11 points, respectively.

Kalob Bell led Wirt County (7-15) with 26 points, while Austin McVey poured in 19 points.

St. Marys 63,

Bishop Donahue 55

McMECHEN - Three players were responsible for all of St. Marys' fourth-quarter scoring as the Blue Devils pulled away for a 63-55 win Wednesday against Bishop Donahue.

With the game tied at 44 following the conclusion of the third quarter, Dylan Hupp knocked down two 3-pointers, Andrew Cosper added another six points and Austin Bayless canned 4-of-4 free throws as part of his seven-point contribution in the final eight minutes.

Cosper finished with 21 points for the 17-4 Blue Devils, while Jordan Whitehair and Bayless pitched in 14 and 12 points, respectively.

Chaice Truex led Bishop Donahue (12-9) with 16 points.

Beallsville 70,

Paden City 47

PADEN CITY -The lone senior on Paden City's roster - Drew Bidwell- was honored in his final home game and scored in double figures with 11 points in a 70-47 loss Wednesday against Beallsville.

A total of four players scored in double figures for Beallsville (11-10), including Teryn Jarrett with 20 points and Chase Mercer with 15 points.

Kennedy Cain led Paden City (11-10) with 12 points.
