PARKERSBURG The Parkersburg Fire Department responded to a fire on Seventh Street adjacent to Suddenlink.
A woman and a dog were helped getting out of the one-story frame home at 1739 Seventh Street. No one was injured, Capt. Tim Flinn, chief fire investigator, said.
The Suddenlink office was evacuated as a precaution, he said.

About two dozen firefighters and six trucks responded. It occurred at shift change.
