PARKERSBURG -The Parkersburg Police Department on Friday arrested a man charged with child pornography.
Jeffrey E. Kesterson, 53, 1030 Market St., was indicted by the Wood County grand jury on Thursday for the distribution of material depicting minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct from October 2011 and 18 counts of possession of material depicting minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct from November 2011.
An investigation was conducted by Detective T.P. Wolfe, computer crimes investigator for the police department, spokesman Sgt. Greg Collins said. The investigation took three months.
Kesterson was processed and taken to circuit court where he failed to post a $15,000 bond, Collins said. He was placed in the North Central Regional Jail.
