PARKERSBURG - A Parkersburg man was charged with third-offense felony drunken driving Tuesday night, the Parkersburg Police Department said Wednesday.
Gordon Craig Skeen, 47, 504 Eighth Ave., was charged after a caller to the 911 Center reported a drunken individual was preparing to drive from a bar on Seventh Street, Sgt. Greg Collins, department spokesman, said. The incident was reported around 11 p.m.
Officer C.E. Morehead saw a 2008 Toyota Yaris leaving the parking lot of the Six Pence Pub and conducted a traffic stop of the driver in the 3000 block of Seventh Street, Collins said. The driver stopped the car in the middle of the traffic lane, he said.

According to Morehead, the driver, Skeen, smelled of alcohol and had bloodshot and glassy eyes, Collins said.
Skeen failed a series of field sobriety tests, was arrested for DUI and taken to headquarters for processing where he tested 0.224 on a blood-alcohol concentration test, Collins said. Also, a computer check found Skeen had two prior DUI convictions on Jan. 5, 2011, and Nov. 24, 2008, Collins said.
He was charged with third-offense DUI, a felony, and arraigned Wednesday morning in Wood County Magistrate Court where he posted a $5,000 bond and was released.
