Ron and Sheila Carder of Parkersburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Renee Carder, to Joseph Anthony Melvin, son of Rich and Cindy Melvin of Pittsburgh, Pa.
The bride-to-be is a 2004 graduate of Parkersburg High School, attended Marshall University and is a 2008 graduate of West Virginia University with a degree in nursing. She is a registered nurse with Lee Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers, Fla.
The prospective bridegroom is a 2005 graduate of Northgate High School and a graduate of Beattie Technical of Pittsburgh, Pa. He is owner and operator of Five Bar Motorsports LLC of Fort Myers.
