Angela Ann Diehl, 57, of Vienna went to be with the Lord Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 16, 1955 in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Brannon Harvey and Clara Johnson Adams.
Angela was a 1973 graduate of Parkersburg High School. She enrolled in the St. Joseph's Hospital Practical Nursing Program and received her LPN Degree in 1976. She worked in the ICU Department at St. Joe from 1976 to 1983. She was a member of the Sigma Phi Sorority for 20 years where she served in many offices. She was a 30 year member of the Cornerstone Gospel Church in Vienna.
She is survived by her husband, Jonathan Diehl whom she married Oct. 30, 1976; two daughters, Ericka Stout (Troy) of Vincent, Ohio and Lindsay Diehl of Parkersburg; one son, Wesley Diehl of Parkersburg; three grandchildren, Abrelle, Alexia, and Addison; a brother, Michael Adams of Ohio; her mother-in-law, Audrey Diehl of Parkersburg, and several cousins.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Clark H. Diehl, Sr.
A celebration of Angela's life will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, at the Cornerstone Gospel Church in Vienna with Pastors Barry Taylor and Rick Kapple officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday at the church from 1-3 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made in Angela's memory to The Strecker Cancer Center, 401 Matthew Street, Marietta, Ohio.
