West Virginia 76, Oakland 71
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) - West Virginia's Aaric Murray came back from a one-game suspension with a double-double Wednesday night as the Mountaineers defeated Oakland 76-71 to end a two-game losing streak.
Murray, who was left home for disciplinary reasons from the Mountaineers' 81-66 loss to No. 2 Michigan last Saturday in Brooklyn, N.Y., came back to score 12 points, pull down 10 rebounds and block five shots.
Juwan Staten added 11 points for the Mountaineers (5-5), and Keaton Miles and Terry Henderson pitched in 10 apiece.
West Virginia's victory ruined an outstanding night by Travis Bader, who led the nation in 3-pointers made with 42 entering the game. He finished with a game-high 25 points, including 6 of 12 from beyond the line.

Marshall 64, Savannah State 48
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - D.D. Scarver (18 points) posted his ninth straight game in double figures and Marshall used a big second-half run to pull away and beat Savannah State 64-48 Wednesday night.
Dennis Tinnon made 6 of 7 shots en route to 14 points and Elijah Pittman scored 10 for Marshall, which won despite committing 19 turnovers - one less than their season high.
Marshall (7-5) took its first lead, 18-16, behind a Tinnon layup and held a slim 27-25 advantage at halftime. Savannah State (5-7) rallied to knot the game at 31-all, the sixth tie of the night, but Pittman scored back-to-back buckets in the paint and Marshall outscored the Tigers 33-17 over the final 15 minutes.
Marshall held Savannah State to 33.3 percent (21 of 63) from the field, including 0 for 7 from 3-point range, and scored 15 second-chance points.
Rashad Hassan led Savannah State with 11 points.
Quincy University 67,

QUINCY, Ill. -A five-minute scoring drought by Ohio Valley University late in the second half enabled Quincy University to pull away for a 67-57 win in Wednesday's consolation game of the Quincy University Tournament at Pepsi Arena.
A bucket by Jerry Macon Jr. with 6:04 remaining in regulation sliced what was once a 17-point deficit early in the second half to just four at 55-51. By the time the Fighting Scots managed to score again at the 1:09 mark, the Quincy had extended the difference to 10 (61-51).
Macon led OVU (2-9) with 17 points and five assists, while Osvaldas Gaizauskas and David Snickas pitched in 15 and 14 points, respectively.
UMass 85, Ohio 76
AMHERST, Mass. - UMass handed Ohio its second straight loss and fourth defeat in its past five games after defeating the Bobcats 85-76 Wednesday night at the Mullins Center.
The Bobcats (7-4) led by as many as 12 points early in the first half before UMass (6-3) went on a 23-1 run and moved in front 29-19 with 8:08 remaining before intermission.
Ohio managed to tie the game on two different occasions early in the second half, but Jesse Morgan's 3-pointer at the 12:02 mark capped a string of 11 unanswered points by UMass and left the Bobcats trailing 66-55. Ohio could get no closer than six points the rest of the way.

Ursuline 67, Ohio Valley University 62
PEPPER PIKE, Ohio -Laura Campbell was not quite the threat in Ursuline's second meeting with Ohio Valley University, but her her teammates picked up the slack as the Arrows defeated the Fighting Scots 67-62 on Wednesday night at Matthew O'Brien Athletic Center.
Four players, including Brianna Woods with a team-high 19 points, scored in double figures as the Arrows (3-7) swept the home-and-home series with their future Great Midwest Athletic Conference rivals. Teammate Katie Cappello added 14 points, while Campbell finished with 13 points - 25 points fewer than her output in a win against OVU earlier this month in Vienna.
Manhattan 58, Ohio 49
RIVERDALE, N.Y. -In the first-ever meeting between the two women's basketball programs, Manhattan snapped Ohio's three-game winning streak after holding on 58-49 on Wednesday night at Draddy Gymnasium.
After pulling out to a 27-21 halftime lead, Manhattan (3-7) extended the cushion to as many as 11 points at 49-38 with 5:01 remaining in regulation.
Shavon Robinson's bucket a minute later sliced the deficit to 49-44, but Ohio (4-6) could not get any closer.
Symone Lyles led the Bobcats with 11 points, while Kiyanna Black added 10 points.
