PARKERSBURG - Parkersburg police detectives are asking anyone who may have been approached to purchase a new chainsaw to come forward.
Sgt. Greg Collins said between Nov. 24 and Nov. 26 a breaking and entering occurred at Dowler Tractor Sales and Service, 1604 Dupont Road.
Collins said 12 Echo brand chainsaws were stolen with an estimated worth of $4,800. All missing chainsaws were new and had never had fuel or oil in them, officials said.

The investigation into the crime produced the recovery of two stolen chainsaws, with at least one pending arrest. Police believe some individuals may have purchased the chainsaws without knowing they were stolen.
