Following the tradition by the Parkersburg Woman's Club of hosting the Holly Trail, we are happy to have had over 500 residents join us in buying tickets for our tour held Dec. 9 in Vienna and Parkersburg. We appreciate the ongoing support of the region in this project and the many it supports.
Even though the rain fell, it didn't dampen the spirits of over 100 women of the Parkersburg Woman's Club in making this event a success. Without their countless planning hours and their hospitality at the homes, this project would not be possible
We had the beautifully decorated homes in Parkersburg of Jack and Kellie Casas located on Market Street and Keith and Michelle McClung on 22nd Street.
In Vienna, we had the pleasure of presenting the homes of Paul and Karen Fritz-Weber located on Glenbrook Drive and their neighbors' home, George and Barbara Volker.
Visitors stopped along the trail at the Parkersburg Woman's Club's Clubhouse for refreshments and to enjoy the warm holiday decorations provided by Crown Floral with Holly Trail tickets also available at Hallmark store.
The funds raised in this event have been used over the years to support our many projects in the area, including the Brown Bag Project, Holiday in the Park, Wood County Society, scholarships, Farm Bureau, Family Crisis, Art Center, Actors Guild, Girls State, Relay for Life, Kind News, Conservation Camp and nursing home projects to name a few.
