Willie C. Hanger, 90, of Vincent, Ohio, died Wednesday Dec. 12, 2012, at his residence.

He was born in Decatur, Ohio, a son of the late Richard and Emma (Reip) Hanger.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served in World War II. He was a member of the Barlow Presbyterian Church. He was a dairy farmer and loved his animals. He was on the Washington County Farmers Mutual Insurance Board, a chapter member of Warren High School FFA and he was a director of Ohio C.O.B. A..

He is survived by his wife of almost 68 years Irma (Berry) Hanger; two sons Marvin C. Hanger and Scott B. Hanger (Tammy) all of Vincent, Ohio; two daughters Sharon Richards (Jerry) of North Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Janet Fairchild (Phillip) of New Orleans; seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren; a great great granddaughter; and a brother Grover Hanger of Newark, Ohio.

In addition to is parents, he was preceded in death by a son Robert Hanger and a sister Luverna Harstine.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre, with Pastor Rick Hastings officiating. Burial will be at Rockland Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post 15. Visitation will be Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday.
