Dorothy Faye (Donley) Cook, 78, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away Dec. 10, 2012, at her home, with her husband and children by her side.
Born Oct. 18, 1934, in Sharondale, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Landon and Elizabeth (Lethgo) Donley.
She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother, who loved reading her Bible, working in her garden and taking care of her family. She was a faithful member of Rosemar Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Evangelist Wirt Cook; two sons, Ron Cook (DeDe) of Parkersburg and Andrew Cook (Calandra) of Montgomery, Ala.; three daughters, Debby Warne (Kris) of Georgetown, Ky., Eydie McIntire (Steve) of Parkersburg and Kelly Jones (Doug) of Parkersburg; 12 grandchildren, Joshua Warne (Blake), Emily Warne, Drew McIntire (Angela), Eric McIntire, Wirt Cook (Paige), Marybeth Cook, Landon Cook, Joseph Cook, Trevor Jones, Camille Jones, Teagan Cook and Aislinn Cook; three great-grandchildren, Emmy Brook Warne, Easton Warne and Maxtin Cook; sister, Betty Murphy (Gene); brother, Chay Donley; sister-in-law, Celia Wisch (Bob); and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Landon and Elizabeth Donley; and her brother, Bobby Donley.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth St., Parkersburg, with her son-in-law, Steve McIntire officiating. Burial will follow at Parkersburg Memorial Gardens. The family will receive visitors from 2-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, and one hour prior to services Friday.
