Discuss children’s issues

December 9, 2012
Parkersburg News and Sentinel

Did you know that child poverty is on the rise in West Virginia? Three in 10 young West Virginians live in poverty. What are the key struggles faced by kids in your school or community? What would make a difference for these kids?

What can we do? Attend the Children's Issue Forum, Monday, Dec.10, at Jefferson Elementary Auditorium. This event will be sponsored by Wood County Council of PTAs in conjunction with West Virginia PTA and the West Virginia Healthy Kids and Families Coalition.

This event will allow parents, teachers, principals, and the whole community to bring their issues to an audience. We will be taking these issues to the Legislature during the 2013 Legislative session.

Please attend so that we may be the voice for every child.
